The Tolexars Story
A journey from vision to reality
The Spark of Inspiration
On September 6, 2022, Tolexars Therapy Services was born from personal experience and professional observation. Our founder, witnessing the struggles of families accessing quality therapy services for their loved ones with disabilities, recognized a critical gap in the healthcare system.
The name "Tolexars" combines "Therapy" and "Excellence" - reflecting our commitment to delivering exceptional care while helping individuals excel beyond their limitations.
First Community Outreach
We launched our first community outreach program in Ogba, Lagos, providing free assessments and therapy sessions to 50 children with developmental challenges. The overwhelming response confirmed the urgent need for our services.
This pilot program became the blueprint for our Community Outreach initiative, now serving thousands across multiple states.
Strategic Partnerships Formed
Recognizing that collaboration amplifies impact, we formed partnerships with the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation Network, Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria, and Super Parents Foundation.
These partnerships enabled us to extend our reach, share resources, and develop specialized programs for specific disability groups.
Expansion & Recognition
Our services expanded to include interstate outreach, reaching communities in Edo and Ogun states. We introduced our subsidized therapy program, making professional care accessible to low-income families.
The organization grew from a team of 3 to over 20 licensed therapists and support staff, each sharing our passion for inclusive care.
Ongoing Impact
Today, Tolexars stands as a beacon of hope for individuals with disabilities and their families. We've touched over 700 lives, conducted 13 major community outreaches, and continue to innovate our service delivery.
Our journey continues with renewed commitment to breaking barriers and creating a more inclusive society where everyone can thrive.
